Reflection:
In this activity, we were learning to write a explanation on how to grow lettuces.  I used the word 'then' for  my time connector but when my class gave me some feedback, I changed the then's into other time connectors. Next time I should make the time connectors more interesting and more different.

Kiwi Facts

WALT skim and scam to find information in a text. I worked with a buddy and I enjoyed it
I learnt that kiwis actually have nostrils. I also learnt that females are bigger than male kiwis.
I found it easy to skim and scam because I just had to find the the most interesting things.
I think I still should keep on working on skim and scamming.

Solving multiplication problems using the distributive property

Reflection:
WALT use the distributive property to solve multiplication problems.
I found it hard to 9 x 32 and then I re-looked at the video and then I understood that splitting the number 32 into 30 and 2 and then it got a lot easier.

I learnt how to summarise information and learnt what the word summarise meant.
I found it tricky to do because I didn't really know the main ideas.
I also found it trick to do because I had to type exactly 60 words.
Next time I need to keep working on summarising by understanding the main ideas.

I found it easy to do because I knew my values. 

I also found it easy because I had a buddy to do it with me.

I found it hard to put the things in resilience because I didn't really know much about resilience.

Reflection:
WALT write a narrative poem.
I learnt what 'narrative' meant and I enjoyed writing this poem.
Next time I need to make the introduction more exiting and add some more similes and some more alliteration.

Reflection:

I found it hard to put them in order because I didn't know what some of them were. I  found it easy to put them in order after I knew what they were. Next time I need to find out the things that I don't and then do the questions.

I found it tricky to find the metaphor because I because I didn't know the words that make a metaphor. Next time I need to read the book more times and then do the questions.

I found it easy because I understand it.

My next step is to do time word problems.

WALT make connections. I enjoyed the story. I found it easy to think if why Toroa ate it because it told us in the story.  I also found it easy to think of what the red thing was because I looked at the picture and it looked like a red bottle cap. Next time I need to try to add some more connections.

Reflection In this activity I was learning to plan for my explanation writing using a graphic organiser on padlet. I found this easy because we did a plan as a class.

I found tricky to do the middle line because I didn't know what color ladybug to choose. I found easy to do the first and last lines because I already know what to write.

I need to improve on making my ideas more interesting  and putting more onomatopoeia's in.
It was easy to get the onomatopoeia because I knew what a bomb sounds like.

Reflection: we were doing the soft ball clinic.

I found it easy hitting the ball because I just needed to focus on the ball and hit it hard.

I found it hard to catch a ball because I can't move and we had to stretch.

I found hard to inference because I had to look back in carefully.

next time I need to look more carefully back in the book so I get the question correct.

Reflection: We were learning to skim and scan. I found easy to to type the questions at the bottom because I just needed to skim and scan and look at the information. Next time I will need to read the text more carefully so I don't need to read back again.

It was tricky to remember the Maori words in my head and then type them down.
It was was also tricky to skim and scan to find information in the text. I need to keep working on this.

I was learning to write a statistical inquiry.

It was hard to get the information because I needed to remember who I asked and

who  didn't ask.  Next time I could ask what your favourite colour is.
